Join us at Hanaokao’o (canoe) beach, Kaanapali, on May 31, 2015 from 11am to 4pm. Conceived by legendary waterman Archie Kalepa and funded and operated by the Will Smith Foundation, Wills Water Day is where children of all ages come together to learn about beach and surf safety from top professional surfers, paddle boarders and watermen. Maui Fire Department Chief Jeff Murray helps educate the kids on emergency preparedness and safety. The kids get out in the ocean in outrigger canoes and Maui Ocean Safety takes them for a ride on the Jet Ski rescue sled.
This is a free event in Memory of Will Smith who was killed by a reckless driver on the Pali on June 3, 2007. Local and visiting kids of all ages are welcome. Watch your kids from the grass or help out! The first 100 kids receive free commemorative t-shirts courtesy of Naish.
